The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 这真是一部伟大的电影。如果绝大多数人能正确理解这部电影的话，人类文明会前进好几步，(提高自尊，两性尊重，幸福愉悦，男女平等等等)。
这真是超小成本电影了，全靠两位主演的演技，当然都很棒～

疫情解封后的百老汇音乐剧+911 20周年纪念让这部作品天然意义非凡，相比《汉密尔顿》讲述美国国父背后的男人的丰功伟绩，《来自远方》展现了加拿大纽芬兰岛民的力量与善意，it's a celebration of humanity，这是对普通人的赞歌。

这部影片显然对性工作者做了过于完美的演绎，但有一点是无疑的：对于买来的性，都是从突破自己的道德防线开始，然后是对性工作者的好奇打探，然后成为一种游戏周旋。当然，性是需要启发的，不论这经验从何而来，只要利用得当，它就不会只是生活的点缀那么简单。
还是那句话，英国人才能做到这种冷清的温暖。
