James Benning’s first film called The United States of America was a 1975 trip across the country, capturing its scenery through a car windshield. This second one also crisscrosses the nation, but without a car, carving it up instead into a series of static shots of just under two minutes, one for each state, presented alphabetically, from Heron Bay, Alabama to Kelly, Wyoming. The names of the places are nondescript, but the images attached to them are anything but, immaculately composed shots of landscape, cityscape and the spaces in between. As we move from A to Z, the images coalesce into a portrait of today’s USA, tracing out its fault lines almost in passing: fenced-off facilities, a river bed running dry, factories and refineries, run-down streets and gas stations, a camp under a bridge. The past is there too, seeping up through the songs and speeches that sporadically pierce the background noise or the motifs that evoke a whole career; the clouds, trains and cabins are stand-ins for films, not just states. As always, there’s time for more abstract thoughts too: each image may stand for a state, but representativity is slippery. Which state is more cinematic than the rest?

像是很多电影里出现过的夏天，他遇到自己喜欢的人，他鼓起勇气表白了却被拒绝了，更让人伤心的是拒绝的原因不是不爱他而是其他更让人遗憾的部分（年龄、承诺、对安稳等成人世界的追求）。他22岁，自己都是是dumb kid，世界还等着他去探索去展开她不想成为他的拖累。女主和她未婚夫对于这段关系的处理都很得体恰当，就这样告别好过暧昧不清等。他们也都会记得这段时光这段回忆。男主其实有很好的母亲和弟弟，令人羡慕。他也长成了如此善解人意、善良又妥帖的大人，尤其是几次party中他的表现，以及对于她女儿的善意和保护。配乐是电影的第二层肌肤，夏天也终会过去。
60/100 原来是自编自导，看来是白男自身青春的半自传（从小养成的姐控）。简单温暖治愈的小故事，各个人物都挺可爱的。唯一特别奇怪的就是各种各样的背景音乐特别的多，还不太统一。
还好玩过很多遍《只狼》.。所以对最后一幕有些免疫了，虽然还是有些感觉不适
还可以，达妹是真的蛮有魅力的，但是这个男主很难让人相信是97年的😅
虽然又是一部女性角色帮助男性角色成长的电影，但是毕竟是自导自演，男主角太可爱了。he‘s a 10 but…no but…he is a 10!
一些好喜欢的节点 ：1）刚开头的两分钟，那几句“Are we sure?” “Sure, sure?”，妈妈真的很好啊，好羡慕，想成为那样的妈妈；2）他很气地踢了草坪然后俯下身揉了揉那些草（44min前后）；3）好松弛的一场面试，那种骨子里的幽默和高自尊感让人羡慕，想成为那样的人；4）Domino关于depressed的一些描述，“Like you don't remember what better feels like, and then you do things that you think will make you feel better, but they don't, they make it worse. And the things that I'm really scared of doing are probably the things that will help me the most, but I just can't do them.”（55min前后） 5) 喜欢那些接吻课，尤其是最后那段“接吻是两个人的事，不光要关注对方，也要关注你自己的感受”。
3.5 自编自导自演的Raiff真的魅力十足。可惜的是他还是太年轻。期待他以后的作品。@Sundance2022
真是无趣又乏味的电影 浪费时间 非要找优点的话 达科塔约翰逊有熟女的味道了

哇哦 很惊艳的剧本 真的非常美好 一种简单又复杂的情绪 怎么说呢 不明觉厉 有点高级 达科塔演技真的可以 忧郁气质真的演绎的非常到位 这位男主兼导演真的非常有才华 片段故事浓度不小 很有吸引力 值得一看！

终于等到了。最近hulu apple都很爱拍这种波澜不惊的非法情事。感觉是泰勒丝会喜欢的类型。。。跟预告片不一样 男主并没有一见钟情女主 感觉就是像两个有年龄差的infp平淡地开始再结束一段illicit affair。
Cha Cha real smooth怎么会刚刚好是恰恰丝滑呢，难道恰恰是个音译词？
【Sundance22】这种“温情治愈”片很合圣丹斯的口味，在这里首映再合适不过了。但是白男作为美国最easy的模式，拍这样一部找不到工作、“女友”去西班牙之后甩了他这种自怨自艾的半自传片总会让人觉得有点矫情过度，而且我对这种穷小子爱上成熟少妇的剧情真的不太感兴趣。PS，片子里是不是音乐用太多了，连讲个话背景里都要放一首歌，不得不让我质疑一下导演的品味。PSS，这片是真的很白很白，这个就更让整部片子显得矫情了。
郁闷一周之后 你打开投影 这个就是最好的安慰
有一些地方我跟着笑了 有一些地方我觉得很感动 但女主与男主的相处模式让我觉得很不舒服 男主的近景总是给眼里打了光 好浪漫 看起来他的确很善良

真的很细腻丝滑啊这个电影，只是部分场景真的很像MV…大学刚毕业的男生和十几岁孩子的妈妈，本来像是活在两个世界的人，他们短暂地碰撞又永远地分开，两个灵魂只能跳一段恰恰，却不能真实地生活在一起。挺好的电影
