The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 其实是百老汇原版舞台剧的实拍，但实在是精彩绝伦，再次遗憾错失参加原版舞台剧北京巡演的机会。从另一个角度看9.11事件给大众带来的影响，这个名叫纽芬兰的小岛向所有到来的客人张开双手拥抱他们，以互助和包容照顾他们，在这个特殊时刻让来自世界各地的人感受到爱和支持。无论你是谁，无论你来自哪里，这一刻大家相聚在一起，这一刻大家都是纽芬兰人。
音乐无国界
外国的鸭子，都是哲学家啊？？素质太高了！！想想咱们这的鸭子，可能一开口，就是“大姐，你说咋整咧，你这……要加钱咧……”，看到什么东西多少外国的好啊。。哈哈哈哈。
西方敏感题材，个人实在无法一样地共情，只能说确实月圆，或许上海能做的更好，西安肯定不行。
两位演员的互动和表演极具可圈可点之处，关于亲密关系、母子关系的话题及对性、身体、欲望、情感和需求的探讨也足以体现本片的不可多得性。这是一部让观众尤其是女性正视自己的需要、不用外界的眼光来评判性地凝视自己、解放自己床笫生活的灵汤妙药，和其成为互文的是欧容的《花容月貌》。影片基调细腻、温柔而明媚，二人互相理解开放沟通的模式看得人心旷神怡，我们需要更多这样女本位的影片

疫情解封后的百老汇音乐剧+911 20周年纪念让这部作品天然意义非凡，相比《汉密尔顿》讲述美国国父背后的男人的丰功伟绩，《来自远方》展现了加拿大纽芬兰岛民的力量与善意，it's a celebration of humanity，这是对普通人的赞歌。
