The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 很有意思的体裁和设定。但美中不足的是主角的言行晦涩难懂，而对于细节的处理又粗枝大叶。我感觉这样的片子处理好的就是下一个银翼杀手。

如果说几十年前柯南伯格拍的那些主打感官的恐怖片仍是类型化的，那么《未来罪行》相比之下则更加恢宏、深刻、哲学和冰冷。在极简的场景和人物关系中更侧重于呈现对进化的那种近乎病态的迷恋，拥抱混乱和无序，沉迷未知和危险。相比之下情节的弱化和结尾的仓促都不重要了，它更像是一个未来编年史的开头一页，永恒熵增的一幕序章。
