The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 熟悉的「黑色幽默」小品，低配版《在糟糕的日子里》。虽然内核很相似，但逻辑架构、悬念设计、节奏、台词包括剧情走向却远不及前者精彩。不仅剧本立不住，人物性格亦不够突出，节奏忽紧忽慢（中段一度有种「温情戏」的错觉）。Lily还是老一套的演戏方式没有突破且毫无感染力，剧本高开低走，情绪及内容过于敷衍，结局更是草草了事（多点反转的话会更有趣）。其实稍加雕琢本可以成为一个挺好的荒诞故事，只可惜导演能力有限，距离昆汀盖里奇差距不小，还需努力。
总的来说，这部片子是近年来中国轻喜剧的缩影，为梗而梗，故事点有，但是就是说不好。喜剧片其实比故事片更难出彩。
剧中人基本上都认识
六七十年代复古风，lifetime电视台肥皂剧情，最后结局倒比较爽。plemons的演技真好
男主发誓后被天打雷劈，然后拥有了特异功能，拍出来的效果又诡异又好笑。
看似无厘头，其实细品能品出很多“哲学”。有笑点有泪点，这不就是生活吗？
剧情有点可爱，但结局实在仓促，林更新是真的狗，喜剧的核心果然是悲剧。
