The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 银幕和舞台的玩法很难兼容，还是放回舞台上吧……
加菲有追求，有前途～ 虽然现在看着还有点像表演工作室的学生…故事好美，每一个Jon人生中的时刻都牵动人心，但LMM这种快剪真的是看着好难受…可能老了受不了这么多又晃又快切的镜头。这是theatre没法剪辑后遗症么，能拍电影了就疯狂切镜头？
其实我先看了倒数时刻的音乐剧，然后完全没看进去…这个改编已经很强了，Sunday那首歌全是彩蛋。顺便赞同那句人人都爱Sondeheim（跑偏了。我最最最感动的应该是最后那段电话留言，真的是Sondheim自己录好了发给LMM的，哭了

艺术源于生活，又高于生活，普通人最怕那些让人看不懂的高于生活。导演把电影分成三个维度表达，生活表达灵感来源，舞台剧表达高于生活的展示，坐在台上的娓娓道来恰如其分的把两部分缝到一起，即超越了舞台剧的限制，又增加了电影的表达边界。咖啡馆一幕把电影布景推开变成舞台剧，处处皆有此种别样风情。最喜欢的一幕是no more，配合现代舞编排，那真的是我们第一次拥有独立生活空间的欢欣雀跃。很多生活灵感的记录，让我想起冬天我的厨房，阳光撒下，我特别想这样歌舞起来，它接近人的本能。最可贵的是它又兼有讽刺跟幽默，panel一幕那位口吐芬芳半句不离音乐理论跟分类的乐评人，几乎是豆瓣评论家们了，即幽默风趣又让人感慨，为什么乐评人就要理论向呢。整部电影着重表达生活灵感，就是告诉大家艺术之美，处处皆是生活的点滴。

Movie of the year. A blessing for any theatre/musical lover or idealist. Story about 90s, Broadway, New York, creativity, love, fear, time, and life. Don’t mind Lin’s rusty directing, the emotions are so raw. R.I.P. Stephen Sondheim, who passed away just after the release of this film. We all have, and will always have a song unsung.
在分手期间看这样的片子真的爆哭 只是这位贵人在《使女的故事》中饰演一个反派让我频频出戏🤣 希望大家都可以get through break up
剧情主线单薄，剧中剧的表现形式有帮助避短但效果有限；加菲很努力但这片像音乐剧的感觉还是大大重于像电影，他也像在演剧而不是电影。

“用爱发电意难平”，创作大概率是这个世界上性价比最低的事情。没有所谓的一分耕耘一分收获。你以为创新是魅力四射的事情——但其实人们，或是说商业眼光，从来比你想象中要守旧传统。
30岁就开始倒数人生了吗，真是让人害怕。cage or wing，ask for birds；fear or love，ask for yourself.
一个勇者有过的失败却不失意的人生：即使不能拥有完美的生活，所幸追求过完整的自我。

音量逐渐推高，情绪越来越浓，唱的是生活的琐碎，歌的是生命的长度。每一个音符都在细数时间，每一个音调都饱含着对生活的热爱。不论朋友、爱人，失落、迷惘，都是灵感的来源，让自己疯魔，铸就为一个艺术家。当最后来了一个call back，结合到真实的人物，一阵眼泪感叹世事无常。
才华，真是一种太残酷的东西。纽约艺术青年们的生活状态，都是同一种模式咩？那些并没有绝对的才华的人，后来又怎样了呢？可能是因为没有看过rent吧…等以后看了，不知道会不会回来改分。
《斯通纳》中的melody——爱、认同、怜悯、志业、傲骨、信任与死亡——在剧中流淌。好听好看又好玩😄
