The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 故事很简单，是非常标准的好莱坞式寻宝类型片，从中能看到很多《国家宝藏》和《印第安纳琼斯》的影子。虽然很难在剧情上做什么创新，但影片轻松搞笑，在视觉上做到了极致。
2-3星之间，现在的寻宝片怎么这么难看，好莱坞再难出夺宝奇兵国家宝藏这样丝滑的类型片了吗？全片有海的30分钟不到戏份是精华，其余纯属凑时长，班德拉斯便当领的太仓促，荷兰弟一脸天真高中生样，一点都没有大男主的荷尔蒙和气场，怪不得要配个沃尔伯格，阿汤哥年轻20岁演这片绝对效果更好
荷兰弟应该蛮高兴，自己在演完蜘蛛侠之后，又跑到这片子里过了一把白皮Jackie Chan的瘾。“你以为自己是笑星吧，小子”这句台词就是我当时当刻的心声。
真的特别喜欢这个漫画，但是一想到杨，但是一想到杨幂要演，就真的好烦，就真的好烦，瞬间就想弃剧了

很好看，里面的人物很不错，爱死了，爱死了，看过的，最好看的，看完还想回来再看几遍
连最基本的娱乐性都达不到，而且两位中年演员额头的电车路是越发明显了
流水线的敷衍浮躁产品。
画质不行，情感的表达略显粗糙，最后一段看的有点尴尬😅。
无功无过，看着挺舒服的爆米花电影。略期待第二部，同时不知还能不能再见国家宝藏系列
这类片子，流畅，无大硬伤，逻辑说得过去，就合格了
电影院日志：这家万达影院大厅的按摩椅挺友好，第一次问我要不要按摩，我不理会，第二次问我要不要走开，我假装听不到，第三次居然说免费送我扫码按摩，然后我就扫了，虽然无法完全放松地享受了一顿机器按摩，竟然有点舒服，然后就进场了，这电影是什么东西无聊到睡着，看了之后完全没有想玩游戏的欲望，达蒙怎么保养得那么不如大本(马克莫怪脸盲)，荷兰豆的问题是长得有点蜥蜴人的感觉…还好九毛钱的夜间IMAX，虽然台词本身也烂但字幕翻译真是烂透了shame shame shame。
只有后半个小时还算精彩，前面的铺垫太长太无聊了。
剧本差，情节简单还长。角色转变比较牵强。俩女主都是两面三刀的gold digger，哈哈，为了兄弟情，也别这样呀。
唉，服装太拉垮就真正的动漫版是好看，杨幂演的是什么露肩是勾引人的还有感觉杨幂的脸在了
