The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 怎么说呢，从动漫以来，我就对追忆篇无感。总觉得画蛇添足，强行煽情。这部唯一值得称道的是动作戏刀刀见血（虽然动作还是太踉跄）。另外，女主的演技是真不行。
以始作终，打斗画面犀利、不含糊，尤其开头屋内那段刺杀更是远超前面几作。画面精美，和雪代巴的感情更是描绘得细腻到位，也为后面拔刀斋的经历铺垫了情感基础。可谓是最优秀的前传，或是终传 @Netflix

有生之年！全程在脑子里放漫画。我曾觉得没有人能演剑心和阿巴：十年前佐藤健横空出世，当时我想苍井优为啥是高荷惠不演雪代巴——因为要等十年后的有村架纯啊！
只要不作妖，全身心投入到致敬经典上，就是最大的成功。这部片子做到了。

改编把师匠和心太的戏全剪了，心太那三位姐姐还是很重要的吧，清里给巴的纪念小刀和剑心的陀螺没有刻画，白梅香和菖蒲花这种很有象征意义的隐喻都没了，冲田形象吓人，池田屋完全像闹着玩的，明明去的大津为啥不提，人斩时期的剑心头发扎得很高也没体现，桂要求巴做剑心的刀鞘这么重要的戏也没了，巴的围巾被剑心系到之前三位姐姐的坟前也没了，最后饭冢被志志雄杀掉这么高光的回血也没了，换成了伏见鸟羽战役结束和斋藤一意义不明的一句吐槽~不好意思原著党真的很苛刻啊，最不走心的是ost啊这配乐我甚至在最后剑心跟闇乃武boss打的时候听出了咖喱味，请问这是什么恶搞吗？因为佐藤健的真心诚意和没有聒噪的左之助弥彦我还是愿意给出4星高分的，但这个真人版远谈不上精彩和完美，害我重刷一遍ova又逼出一公升眼泪~
本来以为会滑坡，毕竟ova追忆篇一贯被称作神作，但是电影版竟然不落下风。然后终于看到天诛人斩时，剑心有多凶狠凌厉了，相比之下，维新以后战斗力下降的厉害。好看，这系列彻底结束了吧？期待国内能引进，想去电影院看，然后特别可惜电影版没了动画版里，维新大业成功前夕，高杉晋作吐血而亡的悲壮，但是见到了，剑心与冲田总司两个绝顶高手之间的对决，好看
解释了刀疤的由来，第一刀是女主的未婚夫砍的，剑心和女主归隐田园，女主其实是卧底，杀剑心途中，剑心听力和视力暂时丧失，误杀了互相相爱的女主，女主也划上一天刀痕
反派粉墨登场导致天下大乱，各路配角复联式集结，最后主角觉醒闯关打boss拯救霓虹，就这么一个乏味的套路，居然拍了五部总长675分钟的电影，真心没啥必要。唯一看点就是谷垣健治，几乎每场打戏都值得反复拉片品味，合理怀疑他才是真正的系列导演，然后因为不会拍文戏，才找了个只会做行活的执行导演糊弄完事，不然你解释不了为啥演员会拉胯到集体演技掉线。
1、不管你喜不喜欢，但这类日本电影都有着别具一格的、令人眼前一亮的风格化场景和服化道设计。
画面很美，赞摄影。

追忆篇比人诛篇要多五颗星啊！每一帧都如画，健桑跟村花明显更有cp感。即便知道剧情知道结果，还是看到心碎💔 最后一段跟第一部首尾衔接了个大圆满，神了。时隔九年，佐藤健真的是，太厉害！虽然记得传说的终结篇之后他就在采访里说过，年龄再大一点就接不了这样的戏了，却仍旧耍的一把好剑，飞天走地，不输当年。回忆起之前看完前两部到处搜看纪录片，被他的勤奋与天赋迷到不行，似乎也只是昨日事。不愧是我爱过的男人。
我小时候吧，一直觉得如果扮演漫画里那些形象的话应该对照真实世界应有的模样来，漫画那样只是夸张化了日常的头发。长大了点接触了Cosplay，觉得那些假毛太假了，为什么要完全还原那些铁皮刘海厚重发片，不是应该转化成日常样子么。然后看了这个片子，这才是我想象中，真人扮演漫画角色的妆发应有的样子啊
作为电影的最终章，也是一个很圆满的句号了，但是还是期待一下，希望能有续篇。

如果不是因为假发套的颜色，简直会让人忘记这是一出漫改剧。原创的剑心对冲田总司一战真是天大的惊喜，两大悲剧剑客的传说对决，也拍出了我心中系列最佳的一场打斗（我连看了两次你敢信🤣），网上居然还有人专门从真实剑斗的角度解析了…可以说无论是噱头程度，戏剧设计，打斗设计以及运镜，这场战斗都跳脱出了漫改的局限，有气势有情绪，承上启下，承古启今，即现代又传统，值得拉片级的表现绝对是对得起系列完结团队封神的一场打斗（而且没有用替身的样子）。村花的演出也是对得起巴这个角色了，毕竟原著设定对这角色也没有很用心（作者自己说只想着神秘感还有酷和美了），所以遗留了不少bug，靠着后来ova的改编才真正立住了…真人版的巴没垮，两人相处的情感转变可信动人，没话好说，五星加膝盖，不愧是最强漫改
PS：砍最终boss的那一刀不是被巴挡下了么...怎么他也倒了...被杀气震死的不成？
