The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 只能说是一部合格的爆米花片，没必要有过多的期待。不过小惊喜是，全片顺便完整的把家庭成员的情感矛盾化解了，看下来不至于那么无聊。

披着科幻皮的打亲情牌的大数据电影。科幻元素如同儿戏哈哈哈，剧情也挺随意的，但是亲情还是挺真的。
故事本身比较平凡，不过对于看了20年NBA的老粉丝，通过一部类似纪录片的方式了解希腊怪兽还是挺不错的。

在某种意义上，肖恩·利维是一个非常精明的抖音系统导演，他清楚的意识到采用什么演员、背景、娱乐元素、主题才能够做出一部合格的网络大电影。他所采取的办法正是当下短视频创作团队的创作思路：拆分与重组。将80S大火的《回到未来》式的穿越冒险作为故事背景（包括配色），主打怀旧色彩（与《失控玩家》一脉相承）。再将死侍绿巨人葛摩拉等一众准一线演员找来做明星背书蹭漫威热度（漫威大牌明星出演，质量有保障，而且都是熟客）。然后将父子情，母子情，自己与自己和解等诸多感人场面以嘴炮金句贯串一气，套个《星球大战》的动作外壳（武器以及人物造型）。这种由点到面的拼盘创作思路是如此的好用且有效，你用了就出活儿，上线就有人夸，以至于各大抖音机构的老师都在传授这种以融梗为核心竞争力的创作方式。这是一种傲慢而悠然自得的不思进取。
两人最后回到了自己时间线，但已经被修改，Ellie死了，没有完全闭环，只有可能是被送到了平行宇宙。
十分难得的篮球纪录片里着重点是讲岁月及家庭的，却又不缺篮球镜头，不错的，很好看！
