I guess the idea behind it was for liberated women to go into a high street store and buy it without any type of guilt or inhibition , but no doubt the main buyer market was teenage boys and dirty old men
THE LOVERS GUIDE is groundbreaking in the fact that it publicised that the couples involved were real life partners but this is slightly dishonest , yes the main couple featured Wendy and her husband were indeed a real life couple who'd been married several years but there was some public controversy that at least one of the couples Kathryn ( The gorgeous brunette ) and Marino ( The well buffed geezer with a ponytail ) had never met one another until they appeared on set where they had unprotected sex for the camera . For a video that self righteously dedicates segments to safe sex it is rather hypocritical
Seeing as it's for education purposes and not pornography as such there's limits as to what can be shown but as a sex education video it's not uninformative though I doubt if you'll be gasping " I never knew that "
As a footnote the main couple featured became something of sexual problem agony aunts in the British press - Until it was revealed that Wendy's husband had a serious heart condition which put a stop to sex . I almost felt sorry for this couple who confessed that they used to make love as often as ten times a day but now couldn't make love once a day because it was too dangerous . My small amount of sympathy soon vanished when shortly afterwards the couple split up and raced off to the gutter press in order to dish the dirt on one another to the highest bidder .

这么多好评？抱歉，真的欣赏不来。整部片子色调都是很灰暗，灰暗的连人脸都看不清，所以出现的一些角色根本就分辨不清楚，看完了之后也就是最后一个镜头有记忆点，其余部分讲的断断续续，非常潦草，枪战动作戏也跟过家家似的，没有任何看点，反而看的昏昏欲睡，就这还能得天坛奖？！在我眼里也就值个两星！
放在国内 算是比较特立独行的战争片 前半段不可避免地想起 伊万的童年 黑白水墨风 运动长镜 固定中远景相结合 再辅以林间和水中战斗 将战争的压抑与晦暗的氛围树立起来 虽能看到人性矛盾的点 但还没有完全抒发 另外 音效虽丰富 但收音和混音做得不够好 这样的电影 剧作当然是让位于形式 但足够独特 值得鼓励7
审美的大胜利 在中国战争片史乃至电影史上非常有标志性的一部作品 美术自然无懈可击 可以说是最“写实”的战争电影了 令人意外的是整体摄影 表演等呈现出来的质感非常的电影化 甚至有些诗化 消色的处理固然有加分 但更重要的还是剧作和拍摄视点选择的处理 始终跟随着人物的视点进行叙事 不夸张 不渲染 不禁让人想起《伊万的童年》 或许叙事还有提升的空间 但总体是一部很有质感和独特的影片 尤其结尾署名：中国美术学院

非常风格化的一部战争片。叙事、剪辑、风格、摄影都不主旋律，特别好！
特别的诗意的优秀电影，作为天坛奖入围电影，70块还是值得的。
电影本身也看得我想睡（裂开）......
整体阴暗潮湿平淡，偶有场景印象深刻。蛇、溪水、林间、水下、洞中、芦苇荡。每个人都是人，会冷血也会动恻隐之心。不是黑白，饱和度极低的色彩。
可惜的是故事呈点状，比较散，某些片段优秀，但整体连贯流畅度欠佳。而且这样的故事有点与当下观众的需求、品味脱节，可能也是没太考虑受众，注定传播和影响有限。演员是非常认真，也演得好，真的甩那些小鲜肉多少条街……
2.无效的跟随式长镜头滥用，挺废烟饼的。对标伊万的童年 看不清人脸 更别提表情细节 比较好的几场戏 开头的是湖里男主想象的尸群 男主引领大家去炸国民党炸药库的山洞大斜坡大仰角 其他令人昏昏欲睡
看了其他评论才想起来，影片最开始有一些蛇的意象的刻画；中间有飞蛾的意象。反正，蛇的出现是挺败笔的。
美院的风格化，体现在水墨风格的色调，精致细腻的调色，以及用颜色直观区分“红军”与“白军”……各种有逼格且久违的光影美学，值得大银幕。
棱角分明，侧颜杀满分，尤其那凸出的喉结都是戏，男性荷尔蒙爆棚。
人物塑造缺少了点信念感，抓不住观众。国画水墨，塔可夫斯基意境，前段处理极佳，后段略显乏力。满意之作
受宣传“诗性电影”影响，抱着一种奢侈的期待去看这部主旋律，有意的和《伊万的童年》做了对比，发现本片所谓的诗性仅留存于画面形式上，文本仍是“纯粹的”战争，节奏、意象也未跳脱出类型的框架。必须说出，导演有意营造的动静统一被拙劣的斯坦尼康毁的一塌糊涂。很遗憾没有在片中看到我军排泄的场景，刻意的性别命题也过于神圣。人只是像人而已。
如果单个单个镜头来划一下的话，有部分拍得还是不错的，但是不错的地方都集中在画面美术上，哪剩下那些镜头基本毫无亮点，剪辑故事稀烂
单位组织团建去看的，展现了中国人的英勇无畏，但是故事不太吸引人。
