The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 大荧幕看真棒
因为上海这破管控甚至无法出现在戏院的一出戏，岁月真是神奇，把Mary和Edith都雕塑得如此优雅迷人。这ip趁还能拍就继续多拍些吧，完全能想象英国人看时估计跟我看末代皇帝一个心情：那些美好的fragile却lively的我们无法再次拥有的历史。
7。是我喜欢的调调，比起上一比更好看，死于新生，唐顿庄园会一直延续。
从物质上来说，没有什么可以长盛不衰，唯有传统和精神可以流传和隽永。剧情有所减弱，但整体还是那个唐顿庄园，就是大表哥已然成为我难以忘怀的存在，无法忽视的痛和不可磨灭的残念。尤其玛丽再度提及他的时候，心底涌上一声叹息。
不记得追唐顿庄园的剧集追到哪一集就没有下文了，电影还是值得一看，熟悉的片头音乐一响起，就把人带入英国乡村辽阔的风景中，当然这一集的南法更胜一筹，看的过程中有些角色已经很迷糊的，但是不妨碍这个故事里的每个人都很可爱！
但渐渐地，才发现他们的人生，都是被一段段爱情所串起来，甚至被拯救。
一场热闹散去之后，总会迎来新的开始，有人坚守有人离去，各自的生活总还是要继续的。那些曾经的露水情缘，过去了也就是过去了，如今这样也是一个很好的结局，我们都不用为此有所遗憾。岁月催人老，我们的黄金时代早已过去，属于年轻人的时代才刚刚开始，他们也会如我们当初一样，有一个光明灿烂的未来。面对彼此新的人生征程，互道珍重，江湖再见。

如果没有记错的话，《唐顿庄园1》是我疫情前最后一部电影
唐顿庄园系列还可以再拍，但再也不是原版的“唐顿庄园”。
虽说也没指望特别好，但确实剧情有点太散了。
本身定位就是粉丝向电影，唐家屯的粉丝能被如此宠着真实万分荣幸！
比上一部好很多，拍电影和继承南法别墅两个事件都很讨巧，充满了欢乐和温暖。对粉丝尤其友好，cue到了很多前情，让人无限怀念巅峰时期离开的二小姐和大表哥。看之前并没有什么期待，但看完之后还是希望这个电影版能继续拍下去，让观众关于唐顿庄园的记忆能不断被唤起，并延续下去。
一场婚礼、一场葬礼，代表着一个旧时代的结束和一个新时代的开始。
作为续集，这一部唐顿没有让观众的视听淹没在庞杂的人物关系线中，主线清晰，所传达的爱与传承的主旨也得很明了。甚至能让我们带着笑声读懂和品味其中或小或大的细枝末节。
婚礼对葬礼，死亡对新生。
唐顿永不结束！只要Crawley一家有人在，唐顿就永不结束！
