The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 一般般吧，情节有些拖沓，也不太吸引人。但日剧一向的唯美还是有的。

看之前没想到演技最差的居然是女主。。。中岛老师倒是演的意外的不错
患早衰症的女孩和摄影男生的爱情！多一颗星给最后部分，最后很感动，很煽情，然而前半部分拍的不心动，毫无感染力，BE的本子拍的不好无法上头的话，基本就沦落成老套了。
男女主的感情戏多少有点尬，但是！兄妹情太好哭了啊！亲情给加分不少，有种前面无聊的感情戏没能弃，后面哭惨弃不了的复杂心情。B太真不错。
后半小时眼泪没停过，尤其是最后中岛发现没认出米娜桑那里，太绝望了

感觉到了及格线ww 本来看预告的时候觉得两人毫无cp感 但是没想到正片里看着还算ok 多的一颗星给中岛老师的演技 在电影里真的有打动到我
就像他们很难说深爱，分别的时间也有点久，但那样汹涌的悔憾很难不让感情被升华直至赴死。
男女主角挺养眼的，情节一般吧吧，不知道为啥男主因为没能认出女主，竟然崩溃到想要自杀…这里哥哥的爱让我感动到了
韩版剧情跟原版相比可以说就是另一个故事，角色更多更加群像，弱化了主角戏份，场面剧情都非常韩式。

比同类型的绝症纯爱还是优秀很多 催泪点也是真感动
2X速度看完，确实不是我的菜。女主在风华正茂时的绝症，男主从摄影小白到独当一面，这时间短的连铺垫都没有。
