The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 原班底的第二部，主题是外省“媳妇”本地郎，潮汕地区根深蒂固、难以完全消除的守旧思想之一，呈现算是比较真实，但剧作中庸了点，就像是完成任务式的把故事讲出来而已，进步有限，影像质感也只是网大水准。
最后一段“vlog”也很大胆，配合妈妈的演员，太真实真切真情了，在平凡日子中的话语和反思，抚慰了一切。

潮汕方言，虽然听不懂，但也看得兴致盎然。妈妈一角活灵活现。
意外的不错，从主角到配角都人物丰满，角色全部都立的住，包括和妈妈拌嘴的那个老阿姨
继《爸，我一定行》之后又拍了一部潮汕本土电影，从励志片换成了爱情片。完成度在剧情大概来讲，这部电影比较套路，会在很多类似的电影里看到类似的剧情。作为一部爱情片，男女主的CP感也不怎么样。不过有意思的是，他确实讲到了潮汕家庭的传统，也讲到了外来媳妇本地郎的一些有趣的问题。而且也拍得很贴近生活，有几个镜头也是可圈可点的。
故事剧情不复杂
估计外地人看了大呼想逃的程度？那个姑娘大概是太缺爱，要不然自己独美倒也自在。妈妈的形象其实还是蛮立体的，能干，强硬，比较封闭，但也愿意为了孩子努力改变。

深圳人应该比较有共鸣，细节很用心，很贴近社会现实。
好片，朴实的现代生活，很温馨很自然也好不美饰矛盾的存在，结局还是理想化了
把很多熟悉的习俗都体现出来。上一部主角和爸爸，这一部主角和妈妈。拍的很有同感。

不是那种想去电影院看的那种电影，适合在家慢慢品味。全片很温暖，并不让人感到无聊，烟火气挺接地气的。还不错
很好看啊！里面的妈妈很好！这家人都挺可爱，也挺有爱的。
全片围绕打工仔凯带女友回家见婆婆这件事展开，影片中的笑料真实自然，与精心包装过的喜剧包袱相比，带有浓烈的生活气息。没有个体和城市命运的隐喻，有的只是生活中最琐碎平常的细节，但影片却异常抓人，看得人津津有味。
结局还不错，相爱的人还好没有错过。
