The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 重聚本身的意义大过节目，节目就蛮无聊的，但是看过去的那些花絮，真的想起了看friends的日子。怎么舍得打低分呢。

Friends最神奇的地方就在于无论你看多少遍 就算你都能对出台词 看的时候还是会笑还是会哭❤️
虽没有追完老友记，看到他们重聚坐一起，也是憋不住老泪纵横。
我庆幸又不希望friends和我的高考捆在一起，那些暗淡无光的日子用很多句“我记得！我也记得！”便能证明所有复杂的欢乐和眼泪，节目纪录片的形式就很好了，让一切平静地，快乐地继续下去

真的是为数不多我会重复看的剧集，每个角色都很喜欢，不同的年龄看总会有不同的启发。看他们重聚就觉得真棒啊，当年的经历那么美好，现在回忆起来也弥足珍贵。

不管这是不是为HBO MAX的营销活动，曾经的剧和曾经的人我相信都是真的：真的有趣，真的感动，真的诚挚，真的互爱。詹妮弗和大卫那段互相have crush，以及发乎情止乎礼，让剧集更增添了几分魅力，让我们更多了几分唏嘘：人生如戏，戏如人生！没想到变化最小的是柯特妮，最大的则是马修；与角色差别最大的应该是丽莎！Friends永远是我最喜爱的美剧，跟我当年认识科幻诸友的日子一样梦幻和美丽。
观众真好糊弄啊。A simple Zoom call might have sufficed. If the LOTR cast could do it, you could, too. 反正都是华纳。
虽然没看过母剧，但依然会被主演们的重聚给打动。就一个好奇，这次重聚特辑几经波折，说是因为几位主演片酬谈不拢，那这一个半小时的时长，他们最后到底拿了多少钱，才愿意重新坐到那张沙发上演出啊？
无法评价系列。和乔伊的感受一样：我起鸡皮疙瘩了……
还没完整的看完呢！但仅仅只是看到几个片段我就想打五⭐，那十年简直是最美好的十年，老友记也是唯一一部不管隔了多久不管看了多少遍都还是能让我再次捧腹大笑的美剧。啊，看完了重聚特辑我这又开始重温了～
