作为一部类型片，有些地方的处理实在太目的话了，几乎是一点美感都没有，好直白。但作为电影，镜头内的美术设计、镜头语言都是看着很舒服的。而接近三个小时的电影，节奏也一直在线，张弛有度。歌舞环节，音乐还是最好的背景，取代舞蹈的是镜头内的自然风光和人物状态，电影的连贯性在这一点上做得很普世化。

这样一部反映现实主义题材的电影，引发共鸣。种姓制度下的印度社会，在简陋的警察局里被严刑拷打，甚至因此死去生命，他们三人也未曾奋力反抗，只是一遍又一遍的重复他们未曾偷盗的事实。
印度现实题材的片子，永远在我心中有一席之地。
