The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 像纪录片一般，跟随着科恩嫂试着去理解这些现代游牧民族。不要试图用理性去解构他们的动机，选择游牧本身就充满了浪漫。大自然和同胞的友情是对伤痛最好的治愈。
借用了一个美国的故事来讲述一种非常普遍的生活选择和方式，每个在路上的人应该都能感受到相似的情感；人们总因为各种原因上路，在快递仓库与自然美景、房子与van之间，不断挣扎又喘息，可能真是上路了，而能更深刻体会到这种感受，有时候，有些情绪无处言说；赵婷还真是挺厉害的，情感把控很到位，平和也可以很有力量。

没看出有什么特别的深意，只是一个寻常人的寻常故事吧
为了山间轻流的小溪
人要是失去根基就注定四处漂泊，狂欢也不过是一群人的孤单，在路上自言自语才是常态。电影本身并没有刻意讲好一个故事，大概主要是带观众融入一种心情。 从《奥丽芙·基特里奇》到《三块广告牌》再到这部，女主一直在演苦瓜脸大婶。
世界上有千百种生活方式
和看完剧情简介之后的期待还是有些出入。一部女性导演的公路片，着眼于受生活困苦却保有生存信念的底层人。感觉比较出彩的地方是在对事情的轻描淡写中将Fern对于“在路上”生活和对人生方方面面（逝去的亲情，生老病死，短暂的友情）的思考和对她的坚毅的一步步刻画。后半段马力克式的自然镜头比较喜欢。对于这条路通往何方，导演没有给出答案，回到物是人非的故乡，和亲密的伙伴在一起，还是抛下一切“路上再见”？而且配乐是真的棒，应该是这部电影里我最喜欢的元素了。
