The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 当作探险片来看会大失所望，当作爱情喜剧片既不真诚也不搞笑，这其实是男女主为度假拍的魔法片，无论怎样上山下水妆发照样不乱不湿。
小众的印尼电影，虽然题材是好莱坞拍烂了的信息时代的隐私暴露，但电影中既有宗教的影子，也有贫富分化导致的社会阶层裂痕，本土化改造到位。多重重压下更期待主人公来一场叛逆的报复，但结尾还是受制于传统亚洲文化隐忍克制，卑微的受害者纷纷用打印机自拍，传达一种理性的愤怒，也多少表现出现实的无奈。
