The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 已经闹腾到完全不讲理了，但是不难看，有一种破罐子破摔的乐趣，科学怪人和果冻人依然笑点满满。
一直都钟意呢个系列，这回再次离了旅舍伐木累外出冒险日确系短了点不够看不如前两部的日常感，按你胃再次想去补起那两季剧版，片尾画风也好看，女婿在岳父眼里永远没有自己帅和配得上女儿吧哈哈哈。对了，森林里有段密恐警告。
一如既往地好。剪辑节奏视效音乐都是高水准。有笑有泪。
老套的剧情，还原了几个妖怪的人形形态，布丁太好玩了，里面居然还能养鱼
带着女儿去看的，因为游乐场限流先去看了场随机电影。我们家爸爸看了估计要气死，这么好的女儿让猪拱了
还挺好看的吧，虽然有点后劲不足的感觉，还是宣扬家庭最重要，挺适合大朋友带小朋友一起看吧
据说是系列的大结局，从1：单亲老父亲带崽历劫，2：孤独男人偶遇真爱 3：女大不中留爱上穷小子，到这一部：不甘退休老父亲终和自己和解。虽然是很俗套的连续剧但吵吵闹闹还是很可爱
老父亲Drac有什么错，让他受这种折磨……
配音换了，就好像角色也变了，为了搞怪而搞怪，很无聊…
主题就是家庭，家庭，还是TMD家庭，不过笑点还是满满的。
当然，还是有点问题
比上一部好看点，中年人类还是比不过吸血鬼美貌啊哈哈哈
好漫威啊！带大娃看的不知道第多少部，不知道啥时候带弟弟呢
It's mediocre. The gist is simple and overly used: a controlling father gets to learn to accept people for who they are but it's practically the only thing they build the franchise on since it's pretty much the growth that already been written around for the first movie. Four movies in and there's no depth to any other characters, that's just lazy.
居然都拍到第4部了，这个系列居然也10年了！德古拉可真是太惨了QAQ
猫型毒液，大部分时候在想年中看过的《普罗米亚》，可惜没有人家的音乐，虽然但是为坏女孩流下了一滴💧
无论怎么说比上一部好一些，希望下一部可以再接再厉
——新的一代，ta们面对着不同的环境，将与上一代有着完全不同的治理理念。
作为系列收官作 还能玩点花样 让怪物和人类身份互换 实属不易 令我们见到了几个主要怪物角色成为怪物前的人类真身和真实性格 蛮有趣的 但从故事上 这一部回到了系列原初 重新谈起了德古拉对约翰尼人类身份的认同与接纳的问题 也搞了一把这几年流行的we are family 可以说这部电影对整个系列画了个圆 从角色刻画上终于达成了德古拉伯爵的最终成长 不过这一部还真是一如既往的闹腾 挺尴尬的
