Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'
系列第四部。延续了系列一贯的low-fi风格。本次除了穿针引线的主线故事外，其他故事质量都不错。个人偏爱鼠人和机械女。
第一个故事和第三个故事可以专门挑出来看一下，其他的可以直接跳过，这个镜头晃得头晕，虽然知道是伪纪录片，但也不至于这么晃吧。。
最近几年伪记录恐怖片越来越少了，久违的刺激！
就第三个故事的后半段大杀特杀还有点意思。。。

四个简单而混乱的噩梦，立意到表现都没啥优点，只能卖个邪典复古的人设了。
很久没有看过这么正儿八经的邪典片了，这种掐头去尾地讲了一段段没来由的故事，既过瘾又充满恶趣味。

血腥风格还是保留了，但是故事确实没前几部精彩，勉强3星吧
前两个故事休闲沉浸，后两个故事一个牛逼，一个搞笑。空军指挥官就像是过家家一样，机枪打吸血鬼时，还把队友打死了，一团乌烟瘴气蟑螂兵。还想炸大厦呢
回归到VHS的正常制作水准，比较来看还是第一个故事最有意思。
四个故事恶趣味一脉相承，录像带元概念优秀但不出彩，而且有简化故事结构的嫌疑。故意做旧的粗糙感太过，镜头切换很无厘头。看后兄弟们一致认为3>2>1>4，我个人的顺序是1>2>4>3，有时候越是basic的恐怖故事越令人印象深刻。
总体感觉不如2，3。但奈何是这个系列脑残粉，还是打了5星。因为还是那股熟悉的cult味，尤其喜欢第一个故事结尾，大呼过瘾。
个人最喜欢第三个改造人的故事，有点《硬核亨利》的感觉，但更加的肮脏，令人不适，第一视角看起来也很爽，整体故事也比较完整，画面cult感十足，导演不愧是印尼出名的cult神，同喜欢他在第二部里拍的邪教的那一篇章。
2021年，能看到这样的片子，感激涕零！恐怖片看多了，几无恐惧感，唯爆浆、暴戾和屠戮能永远令人血脉喷张，它做到了而且很完美！
有些许江郎才尽的势头，稍显失望，大招全放前面了，后面越来越不行，应该反过来，这样观感能好很多，这种很有年代的影像质感倒是增添了很多粗砺的恐怖感，以及印尼的故事依旧不错。
这个系列这么玩下去要完啊，总是玩血腥挺没意思的

晃的我这个恶心，最后非要加上个亚裔魔女，不知道是不是映射我大天朝
我贼喜欢这种类型的电影，好看，编剧和导演脑洞卡卡的
