The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 女主很在线，但真的受不了其他角色全部蠢的要死。
第二个赞叹是小女孩与中年女人的过往孽缘，真是让人感叹「因果轮回」。
钉枪直接给我打出橡胶手错觉...暴风雪山庄模式，以小成本来看算是小成功。毕竟反转都在意料之中。
本片無疑是流水線式小本驚慄動作片，但這是當中的上佳之作，最適合周末夜晚觀看。
女主和警察都智商让人捉急，不符合常理，拖了整体后腿！不过首尾呼应地结局倒是挺有感觉，四星合适😄

流水線生產的小成本驚悚片，情節不複雜。漫天飛雪挺有意境。
非常平庸，但是美国人为什么就是不喜欢斩草除根呢！！！
这种风雪山庄斗智斗勇的类型片本来不是我的菜，而且开头也觉得女主智商让人捉急。但是开始打起来之后，还是挺惊悚的，女主开打之后智商和战力猛增，中间几个小反转还是挺出人意料的。女主一开始不是特别喜欢，看到最后觉的好赞！希望富豪家出钱帮她成功戒毒。
很一般啊，黑人老兵出门没带脑子啊，还说把车钥匙藏起来大家就能活~大概没听说过满清十大酷刑吧~再说留一个活口不就好了~后面直接快进了
合格的爆米花电影，剧情不复杂，打打杀杀，相互欺骗和斡旋，但足够刺激
三星半。女主的经历看起来好疼，女主本人好英勇！玩牌戏那段真的非常精彩。
剧情很老套，就爆米花电影呗无脑无需深究，飞机上还能开窗哈哈哈，发现所有的菜鸟弱鸡都是话痨哈哈哈好呱噪！山下智久这酱油打的哈哈。Teddy好可爱
演员们都演技不错哎，最后半小时反转反转再反转，结尾在戒毒所看着墙上的画那个镜头我内心一句WTF，别是个非常嫌疑犯一样的故事啊，不过下个镜头就看到Jay画的画了。好奇主角妹妹棕发灰眸是混血还是少数民族呀。
女主的演技非常好 中间的反转我喜欢
小成本密室逃脱惊悚片，典型警察来了还不如不来的送人头行为。可太气人了，简直帮倒忙了！
一开始的悬疑做得很好，最后有点拖沓，女孩的反戈一击有点不足信，睡觉男也智商不在线，总体还行，值得一看
属于那种上了一周的班想要通过看电影放松，又紧张又不紧张，需要想又无脑的那种
