The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 克林特伊斯特伍德是电影界的活化石，九十多岁的高龄依然保持一年一部的高产。

91岁还能自导自演，也太强了！即使影片陈旧，但东木说话的腔调依然有吸引人的魅力。
我不知道如何治愈“老去”,我所做的，不过是生命中的另一个选择。
演技只有老爷子能看…感觉就是部面向拉美或德州这边的中老年的家庭剧。但看到边上七八十的老夫妻携手观看、听着西班牙语哈哈大笑的场景时，突然觉得也是需要有这种影片的存在的。一时之间竟有些感动…

感觉老头子有点为了在有生之年多拍点片而不得不有片就拍。
一个老人、一个孩子、一辆车，很像他93年的那部《完美的世界》，只是近30年过去，这部老爷车已经没什么油了，观影中我很难入戏，不是电影不好，而是东木太老。如果骷髅人能走路，大概就是这部电影里伊斯特伍德的样子，我甚至害怕一阵风就把他刮倒了。他比《骡子》时更老了，还那么艰辛的拍戏，我已经成了哭泣的男人。
尽管看到他的样子依然感到亲切。但是老爷子已经老到不适合再做演员了，整部电影像是一碗清淡的粥。
平静舒缓的叙事节奏，流淌出淡淡人生的心灵之旅，对老东木不能再苛求什么，唯愿他身体无恙，能够拍出自己想拍的任何作品。
九十一岁的东木从业五十年，参加过一百多部电影的制作，可是总有一些人想教他怎么拍电影。

高产之下，维持质量只是奢望。不过向91岁的老人的敬业精神致敬。
剧情平铺直叙少亮点，叙事节奏也比较温吞，故事展现得很温柔，也可以看出作为年老牛仔的东木想展示的表达。牛仔迟暮，但是雄心仍旧。
东木91的高龄仍然在拍片，他不知道怎样治愈老去，但每年仍为我们带来一个old school的故事，这就够了。
去墨西哥时汽车与奔马并行的镜头掌控、配乐及片尾曲的选择，足见功力。
