The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 前面感情戏太长了，只为了给砍妹戏份。后面的逃亡没那么惊心动魄，政治黑幕也不是很看得懂，但是能设想如果只身在外，突然政变了，还是很可怕的。

过于四不像了，说悬疑吧所谓反转让人大失所望，说动作吧很多打斗和动作设计都相当普通，节奏并不足够紧张刺激，很多莫名其妙的情节和男主什么险境都能无伤脱出的挂又使得真实感大打折扣，虽然整体能看个乐，但所有方面都是浅尝辄止，很不够劲
可以看得出来制作团队想学Stanley Kubrick的那套方法，但还是不够成熟。但不管怎么说这也算是后现代splatter horror film的一种了～

大量的真实景观拍摄，却在动作设计上显得格外平庸，野外追逐和求生连《荒野猎人》一半的水平都不到，到了后半段的政治惊悚又停留在表面的反转，华盛顿从停车场飞跳简直出戏，让片子唯一的“真实记录质感”也全无。本来这种政治灾难片大有可为非常值得拍，可惜这部拍得如此寡淡，导演属实要背锅了。
