The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. （5.3/10）比起《女巫》和《灯塔》，《北欧人》始终缺乏神秘与危险。艾格斯对《王子复仇记》的改编有一丝现代的感觉，但大部分时间都在按部就班。男性主导的故事中，女性角色的戏份有所增加，其形象却并不丰满。即使连艾格斯最拿手的神话传说元素，都显得格外生硬，可有可无。

间歇性莎士比亚式的台词配上北欧的壮美景色、古老神话色彩、以及电影营造的恢宏气氛颇有一种史诗电影的气质 总之 在这个时代 这样的电影真是太难得了
